No gain staging? You seem like you’re just saying to use gain for your volume

The best way to connect when using RCA to XLR is through a DI Box to balance the signal.

It sounds to me like you added processing to the mic audio. Is that true, and if so, what was it?

Unfortunately I can't get this mic to work on XLR cable, it's not turning on... Everything else is working and all settings are checked many times, everything is working, except the mic has no power still 🤷🤷🤷

Would be more convincing if you didn't add a ton of processing

My mv7 won't turn on when plugged directly into the Scarlet 2i2 or when plugged into the cloud lifter and the 2i2 🤷🤷🤷

I have my mv7 connected to a cloud lifter and the Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen. And the mic won't turn on, it doesn't have any power for some reason even though everything is working on the Scarlett, any idea how to fix this issue so I can have my mic functioning again?

My goal is to use my iPhone 15 pro as the camera for a vlog/podcast (guest interview style). I have 2 Blue Yeti x mics. (Host/guest) The Blackmagic app recognizes the 2 Yeti I mics but is only picking up sound from one mic. Mics are plugged into a Lention 10gbps hub. Hub directly to phone. I want a portable studio I can take on the road/airline etc and just one pelican case. Trying to keep the parts to a minimum. Am I doing something wrong??

Hi - It seems like my mic volume is low on windows and focusrite control 2. I have my gain set to max. When trying to set the auto gain, it says, "auto gain failed. We didn't detect any usable signal" I have the exact same setup you have in the video. Not sure what I am doing wrong. If anyone can help, id appreciate it.

hope mine ends up quality enough. the cable that came with my microphone is super staticy and sounds completely unshielded. i expect a little static but it was way too much

Hi another great review. I have the exact set up with the 2i2 (4th gen) + SM7db (w/ built in preamp), I can't seem to figure out when I plug everything in without preamp turned on everything works well. But if I switch SM7dB preamp on, no signal gets through. Do you have any suggestions for this? Been trying for hours to see why this is the case.
